There was a very clear winner of the yawnfest otherwise known as the Democratic debate last night. And the winner wasn’t even on stage. The winner was Donald Trump who was most likely sitting on a comfy couch somewhere in Trump Tower.
Many people took notice that Trump was delighting social media with his Twitter play-by-play. And the media took notice.
[pullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]While political watchers were tuned in to the Democratic Debate on CNN, folks tuning in on Twitter found Donald Trump a bit more interesting than the five candidates who took the state at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort.[/pullquote]
You do have to admit, it wasn’t that hard of a feat. I think old Golden Girls reruns might have been more interesting. But then again…it did look a lot like an old episode of the Golden Girls.
Trump saw an opportunity and ever the marketer, he seized upon his ability to capture the moment.

Trump had many zingers throughout the night but this single tweet shut the Democratic Debate down on Twitter. Nothing else even came close.
As the Liberal handout masters were talking about who was going to give out more free stuff than the other…Trump Tweeted this:
Trump’s tweet at the time of this writing has over 12,000 retweets and more than 19,000 favorites, while Clinton’s biggest tweet of the night only reached 3,400 retweets and nearly 5,000 favorites.
Boom! Game over. Trump wins!
If you’re not following Donald Trump on Twitter, you should.
